The "Digital Divide" and Administrative Action: Two Approaches to the Same Social Situation.
This paper discusses the digital divide and administrative action. The digital divide is the term that is applied to the gap that exists between the social classes in respect to access to technology, specifically computers and information technologies. "At its height during the Clinton administration, the federal initiative attempted to bridge the "digital divide" through $45 million in grants to state and local agencies and nonprofit groups." (Krim: 2002).
