Joseph Brant: His Influence and Contributions to History
This paper examines the influence and importance of Joseph Brant in the history of aboriginal studies. Specifically, the paper addresses five aspects of Brant's character and life that contributed to his historical importance: he was a British loyalist, a great military leader, had the respect of his people, an able rhetorician, and possesses a respect for the ways of his people.
