This two-page paper is an outline for a longer paper concerning the social and political changes that took place in the late Choson and which are discussed in Chapters 12-14. The thesis which is underlined is based on the pattern that every change introduced was met with very strong opposition immediately. The outline is an analysis of the pattern.
