This paper discusses the process of dearth and dying and the reaction to it of grieving relatives, noting how cancer patients in particular suffer and die, and how their relatives react, showing how both the person dying and the person in grief, pass through the same series of stages from denial to acceptance, stages that draw the two together, in the dying process.
