This three page undergraduate essay examines President Bush's lack of Kantian ethics. The author notes that from a Kantian perspective, it is clear that the president has been motivated by the philosophy that the ends justifies the means. He has convinced himself that only the Republican Party, under his leadership, can defend America against terrorism and lead the world towards democracy. To achieve his goal of continued Republican control of the government, he has resolved that whatever means he uses to attain this end are justified and so has his vice-president.
