Microsofts Windows and PCs Architecture

When people talk about computers, they often think about Microsoft Windows and its relationship to computers. What is the history of Microsoft’s Windows? How does Windows complement PC’s architecture? Perhaps the first step to studying Microsoft Windows is to study the history of it. The next question is to study the relationship of Windows and the future of it. The first place to consider the history of Microsoft Windows is Microsoft Windows’ website. “On November 10, 1983, Microsoft announced Microsoft Windows, an extension of the MS-DOS operating system that would provide a graphical operating environment for PC users” (Microsoft.com 2003). Most PC users will tell state Microsoft Windows operating system began in the 1990 with the release of Windows 3.0. This essay will discuss Microsoft Windows, the relationship to PCs architecture, and possible future of Windows.
