This paper concerns seasonal festivals in three major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. Using examples from these religions, the paper formulates a cohesive definition of a seasonal festival, and enumerates the reasoning behind their celebration and inclusion in worship traditions, and the connection between nature mythology and seasonal festivals.
