This is basically an outline about the pattern of urban development--suburbanization--that was common in the post-war era. After World War II urban development and planning underwent a significant shift in North America. Overall this paper wili begin with the New Urbanist critic of post-war suburbanization and conclude with a critic of New Urbanist planning and projects.
